Separating the purchase from transport
Use this request to arrange transport for a marketplace purchase. The purchase, payment and permission to release the item remain between you and the seller. If the listing is on eBay or Gumtree, those service pages give platform-specific handover prompts.
Get the item details from the seller
Share the listing, dimensions, quantity and condition. Ask whether the item is assembled, upstairs or difficult to carry through the exit. Include fragile parts and any dismantling needed before collection.
Agree the seller handover
Give the seller address and delivery address with the available collection window. Confirm who can release the item and pass on collection instructions. Payment for the purchase remains between you and the seller; the transport request covers the move.
Planning access in Manchester
For a marketplace collection, ask the seller about stairs, lifts, parking and the route out of the property. Check the same details at your delivery address before the collection is confirmed.
Apartment towers and converted buildings
For Northern Quarter, Ancoats or Salford Quays, ask about the loading entrance, service lift and any booking window. For Chorlton or Didsbury, describe driveway access and door-to-vehicle distance. Include the complete route inside the building.
Plan with fewer surprises
