Moving to the UK: apply for ToR1 first
If you are moving to the UK, you may be eligible for Transfer of Residence relief on qualifying personal belongings. Apply for HMRC approval before shipping. If you have already paid import duties, an eligible late claim may still result in repayment. Check HMRC's conditions; relief is not automatic, and destination-country obligations on outbound moves are separate.

How are international removals priced?
Your inventory volume, route and transport mode shape the quote. Add collection and delivery details, access and packing requirements for a calculated price. The price is indicative. Our team reviews the route, scope and applicable charges before confirming availability and the final quote.
Do you handle the customs paperwork?
Confirm in the written quote who prepares the inventory, submits declarations and handles destination checks. Your identity, residence and shipment details determine the supporting documents; customs authorities decide relief and release.
What is ToR1?
Transfer of Residence relief may remove UK import duty and tax on eligible personal belongings if HMRC approves your claim. Apply before shipping. If duties were paid, an eligible late claim may still lead to repayment; check HMRC's conditions. Destination-country import rules on outbound moves are separate.
Can I share a container to save money?
Shared container shipping, also called LCL, combines suitable loads in one container. It may suit a smaller shipment; cost and transit time depend on the route, load and consolidation arrangements.
Is my shipment insured?
Marine cover is quoted separately at around 2.8% of the value you declare. It is optional and, for a full household crossing an ocean, the available cover and terms should be considered before booking.
